Local SEO
Local SEO is more than citations, title tags and Google Business Profile updates. I’ve worked in SEO for more than 15 years. I approach local SEO by figuring out why you’re not ranking and what needs to change.
That can involve:
- Google Business Profile optimization
- Local and industry-specific linkbuilding
- Service and location pages
- Technical SEO
- Internal linking
- Citations
- Reviews
- Competitor and Maps analysis
- Local spam identification
- Content optimization
- Rank tracking and Search Console analysis
Not every business needs all of these. The work depends on the problem.
My Approach
I start with your website and the businesses currently outranking you. What are they doing better? Where are their links coming from? Are their pages stronger? Do they have better local signals? Are technical problems holding your site back?
Then I prioritize the opportunities most likely to improve rankings. The strategy follows the problem, not a predetermined SEO package.
Local Linkbuilding
Linkbuilding is my specialty. Most businesses can get the same basic citations. I look for links that aren’t as easy for competitors to replicate. That includes local organizations, associations, publications, suppliers, partners, educational resources and other websites that have a legitimate reason to reference your business.
I’ve spent most of my career finding those opportunities.
No SEO Busywork
I don’t publish blog posts because a package says you need four every month. I don’t build citations just to increase a report’s link count.
We identify what’s holding you back, make improvements, measure what happens and adjust from there.
